Scary Slavic Stories 2013

On a cold and rainy Halloween day, REEEC hosted Scary Slavic Stories 2013 in the Lucy Ellis Lounge of the Foreign Languages Building. REEEC affiliate faculty Donna Buchanan (Musicology), Mark Steinberg (History), Valeria Sobol (Slavic Languages and Literatures),  George Gasyna (Slavic Languages and Literatures), Cynthia Buckley (Sociology), David Cooper (Slavic Languages and Literatures), and Lisa Kemplin (International and Area Studies Library) told truly frightening ghost stories from Slavic folklore. The audience of students and members of the public enjoyed the tales, the cookies and cider, and the professors’ flamboyant costumes.
